As you may know, the blogging world is a vast a slightly terrifying place and it is easy to feel that as a small-time blogger, your words simply fall into a reader-less void the second you hit "publish".
That is why you may see my mouth gape open in shock if you tell me that you read my blog. I know the most part, my small (but lovely) readership comes from close friends and I'm so thankful for their support but to think that newer friends and/or acquaintances and/or maybe even strangers read my words and possibly come back for more is more than I ever could have hoped for.
I know my work doesn't always have a clear trajectory or genre that it can be put into but I am grateful for a safe and supportive place to share my aimless thoughts.
I jumped into the world of journalism almost completely blind. My high school was ill-equipped to teach me anything about changing digital media so what I do know, I have mostly taught myself. I know that I am still behind the eight ball in terms of getting my name out there in the world but I think that The Great Wild City is the perfect starting place for me.
Thank you for being along for the ride with me. I look forward to seeing where it takes us next.
I read your blog and I always enjoy it!
